New Tattoos

New tattoo time! Matt and I went to see Scott White of Altered State in Lake Worth, FL. This is one great shop. If you ever need ink and you're near Lake Worth, visit the guys at Altered State.

Here's my new girl on my right calf. She's from a Frank Miller piece again. I figured she'd complement the other Miller girl on the other calf. I reconfigured the original a bit just to simplify the hair for a cleaner tat and extend the hair to the right a bit, and drew a black box behind her to match the other calf. I do it all so all Scott has to do is paste the stencil on me. He's a Miller fan too and loves doing this type of stuff.

Here's the girls together. As of now the new one is itchy as hell and starting to peel.

Here's "Pablo", the other side of Matt's Day of the Dead calf. He'll be going back shortly for Scott to work in some desert buttes and a mariachi band, among other things. Matt wants his whole calf covered with a Day of the Dead scene when he's all done.

We adapted a figure on a t-shirt we bought in Austin that was a print from Mexican artist Jose Posada to arrive at this character. I changed the bike, the hat and the general style of the body. Again, all Scott had to do was paste the stencil on and make minor changes.
