Viva La Chocolate City

Wishing I was at Mardi Gras in New Orleans right now. However, I can't complain. Here on the lower east side of Hurricane Alley we're gearing up for Mardi Gras too. No one celebrates like storm survivors!

I've heard some people say there shouldn't be a Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Nonsense. Let her kick up her heels, I say. She deserves to dance. She's had it rough. Let her be defiant. She's not going down that easy, storms and FEMA and uncaring politicians be damned.

If you can, go. Anytime, not just Mardi Gras. Donate to charity, donate with labor, or donate this way...go visit, and spend your money on New Orleans food, booze, beads, and businesses. They will welcome you with open arms and it will be an experience you will never forget for the rest of your life.
