Alternatives to Declawing, Nail Caps for Cats
Yup. Just looking around for a good way to clip Howie's overgrown back claws and came across this page. They are little plastic caps you can actually glue on kitty's claws to keep him from shredding the couch. They have ones for dogs too.
They come in colors. Warm summer ones. Yes, they sure do.

That is very cool in an odd designer dog kind of way. My m-i-l has had both of her cats declawed (I should fess up that one of her cats was our cat that we could not take with us) and it was the better option for two older people than getting rid of the cats and potentially having them be put down because they were "too old" to be adopted.
